Case Study 1. Mr X had been dismissed by a large national company following a disciplinary hearing. Mr X admitted that he had done what he was accused of but felt that dismissal was a harsh punishment as he had worked for the company for 14 years. It was, in fact, a minor misdemeanour and, whilst the company were perfectly within their rights to take him to disciplinary panel, it should not have been punished with more than a warning. QHR Solutions helped him to appeal and, when that was lost, helped him to prepare for a Tribunal hearing for Unlawful Dismissal. Mr X won his case and received a substantial award. Case Study 2. A small company had tried to dismiss an employee who was totally ineffectual. The company did not have any HR procedures or policies in place and, consequently, were threatened with litigation. QHR Solutions not only sorted out the individual in question without any further action on his part but also put a comprehensive Personnel system into the company so that a similar situation would not arise again.
