A FEW CHANGES FROM APRIL 2021 FOR INFORMATION.

National Minimum Wage:

A reminder that from 1 April 2021 the National Living Wage increases by 2.2% (19p per hour) from £8.72 to £8.91.  It will also be payable to all workers aged 23 and above (previously only workers aged 25 and above qualified).

New statutory rates:

From 4 April 2021, Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP), Shared Parental Pay (ShPP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP) and Statutory Parental Bereavement Pay (SPBP) increase to £151.97.

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) increases to £96.35.

Unfair dismissal – where the effective date of termination is on or after 6 April 2021 the maximum compensatory award increases to £89,493.

Statutory redundancy payments – the maximum weeks’ pay increases to £544.
